Elastin and collagen, everyone who's interested in the best skin care has, I'm sure, heard of elastin and collagen. And everyone who's heard of elastin and collagen understands that as your skin ages your skin's supply of elastin and collagen decreases. This results in the formation of wrinkles, fine lines and crows feet, and makes our skin generally look unhealthy as well.
That's what happens to us when we age, and we don't like it. So many of us look for solutions to the signs of aging on our skin. Like elastin collagen creams, or even going so far as to try injectable collagen treatments.
But do skin care creams that contain elastin and collagen really do very much? Can we reverse the loss of elastin and collagen in our skin by applying creams to our skin that contain these ingredients?
Sadly, the answer is no. There are a number of reasons why using creams that are designed to add to our skin's stores of elastin and collagen by adding elastin and collagen to the creams doesn't work.
Lets look at what elastin and collagen do first. Collagen is found right through our bodies, and is, in effect, the glue that holds us together. It is a protein and is found in our skin, and is a fiber that is very strong. It produces the elasticity and firmness that is found in our skin. Like the way our skin felt when we were a baby.
Elastin too is an essential component of our skin. Elastin is also fibrous, and contributes hugely, along with stores of collagen in our skin, to the elasticity of our skin. So when our skin is stretched the elastin is largely responsible for it springing back into place.
But as we age our skin loses elastin and collagen naturally, and this is contributed to by other factors such as the effects of free radicals on our skin, sunburn and other lifestyle factors like smoking.
So clearly if we want to reduce the signs of aging like wrinkling, sagging and unhealthy looking skin, and fine lines and crows feet on our faces around our eyes and mouth, it must be good to increase the stores of elastin and collagen in our skin.
Yes, but elastin collagen creams don't do it effectively. Collagen is a large molecule, and when rubbed into the skin it doesn't penetrate the skin, but remains on the surface. So no matter how much collagen there is in the cream, it's not adding to the store of collagen in our skin.
And the elastin found in most face creams and anti aging products has it's problems too. It too cannot penetrate the skin. So again, using a cream that contains elastic will also not increase the store of elastin in our skin.
So, elastin and collagen in our face creams and skin care products doesn't actually do very much for our skin health.
Is it, therefore, impossible to increase the elastin and collagen in our skin? No. It's quite possible. Luckily for those interested in great skin care, there are some fantastic people working on this very problem, and some extremely talented skin scientists have found a way to stimulate the skin to produce more of it's own collagen and elastin. The perfect solution where adding it to a cream doesn't do very much.
The science behind this new product is complex, but the result is that the product actually results in increased supplies of collagen and elastin in the skin because the skin has increased it's production of these two essential components of skin health.
And trials have shown it works extremely well indeed, resulting in dramatically improved skin health and the production of new skin cells. It shows an improvement skin elasticity and the ability of the skin to hold moisture, and an improvement in the skin's protein structure.
Will you find this new product in the skin care products on the shelves, or are they still selling the same old elastin collagen creams? They're still selling the same old elastin collagen creams, and as long as consumers continue to buy them they will sell them.
But one very small niche skin care and anti aging company is using this new product, with dramatic results. They don't advertise, but they do offer a money back guarantee so prospective customers can try the product risk free, with a no questions asked right to claim their money back.
And of course they can only offer a guarantee like this as long as people don't ask for their money back, otherwise they'd go broke.
People don't ask for their money back, the product works so well.
You should try the products. You've got nothing to lose, (but your wrinkles).
