There's a problem that every extended family are unlikely to avoid: the elderly care! The parents have devoted all their lives to us when they are strong; now, when they turn weaker and weaker, it's our time to make some contribution to our parents.

1 Spend more time with parents.

With the flying of time, the parents have much less friends: maybe some of them have died away; maybe some of them are too weak to walk outside. In a word, parents begin to be lonely when the children grow up.

Some people regard themselves as filial son or daughter since they have given a large deal of money to their parents. However, they are totally wrong. What their parents need is care, concerns and love, but never is money. Parents would not feel happy at all as soon as they receive money from their children. What they really want to achieve is just a happy family!

An old man is poor if he/she is lonely. So, please squeeze your time and spend as much time as possible with your parents. Even though you can "do" little together with them, just try to "be" with them!

2 Respect your parents.

No matter how clever a man was when he was young, he would do something ridiculous more or less when he becomes old. Under such situation, never laugh at your parents. Maybe you are smarter than your parents at that moment, but don't forget that your wisdom comes from your parents. Respect your parents, not only because of your birth they gave, but also owing to the wisdom they provided for you.

What would you do when you have a controversy with your parents? It's inevitable that you and your parents have different values in the life because of your age distinction. Maybe you think something is good for your parents but your parents do not think so. Do respect your parents, try to obey to them unless the situation is really bad for your parents.

3 Make a convenient living condition for parents.

It's inevitable that parents will be tried by the leg one day. At that time, don't regard parents as a burden, but try to make parents live more comfortably and conveniently.

For example, you can clean up the house and wipe out some obstacles. Try to avoid superfluous furniture and the more space are left, the convenient it is for parents. Also, you can buy some exercise equipment for parents to take exercise. The stronger body they have, the more comfortably they will live!

All in all, parents, who have devoted themselves to the family all their lives, should be taken good care of when they turn old. From now on, please pay as much attention as possible to elderly care. Parents are urgent to get your attention and care.
