End the struggle with goal setting and bring clarity to your vision of the future.

Do you struggle to set yourself meaningful goals? Do you find it hard to pinpoint exactly what it is that you want? We all have dreams, aims, ambitions, things we plan to do or be, eventually. But for many of us those things never come to pass because of imprecise thinking.

We fail to develop clear, concise, meaningful goals with content and substance and bold definition, preferring to keep things cloudy and woolly and going in and out of focus. Setting meaningful goals is one of the most important things for you to master in your life or your business.

Here are our suggestions for the steps you can take to turn your wishy washy thoughts into sharp, precise, significant, comprehensive outcomes:

Step 1
Write down, in as much detail as possible, all of the things in your life that you are not completely happy with. Think of all the things that you are tolerating, putting up with, struggling with, allowing to happen or mildly accepting but would like to change.

Use well developed descriptions and powerful words to say what you really think about these things. Reveal your secret thoughts to yourself for the first time. Record what you are feeling and why you feel this way.

Step 2
Now make some time to think about each of the things that you have recorded. Explore how you feel about each one in great depth. Examine how strong your emotions are, understand how these things are affecting you physically, mentally, emotionally and intellectually.

Write down your advanced thoughts as a result of this reflection. Notice how your descriptions have developed and now carry more weight and substance.

Step 3
The next step is to start to create a vivid picture of what you DO want to replace these things or situations. Put into words the ideal, the perfect, the desired outcome in each one.

Go into the same depth and detail as you did before, use powerful words and expressions to bring focus and clarity to your goals.

Feel the emotions that run through you as you start to create a deep understanding of what you want and how you would like things to be.

Step 4
Describe your wants and desires in the present tense, as if they are already happening.

Instead of saying “I want to be fit and healthy” or “I really do want to start my own business” say “I am wonderfully fit and in the best of health” or “I am running my own business with great success”.

Step 5
Now that you know what you want to be, do or have there’s nothing stopping you from planning the steps you will take to get there!

Start right now and create your action plan, one small step at a time or with great strides, whichever feels better for you and the goal you want to achieve.

With your newfound clarity, meaningful goals and great sense of purpose there’ll be nothing stopping you now!
