Before folks even get started on a routine, many have the wrong attitude towards exercise.  Sometimes this is a mental attitude.  I know I had one.  I HATE to exercise.  I hate to sweat.  I really don't like it.   So, I was self sabatoging myself from the get go!

Some folks just don't have the energy to even think about it.  I was there as well.  My thyroid is out of whack, and even with daily medication I still wasn't seeing the results I wanted in my energy levels.  The thought of waking up early to exercise or to work out after a long day at the office was just more than my mind could comprehend.  And I thought the way I felt was going to have to be my normal, because, well, I was ON medication and this was the "best that could be done".  So, no exercise for me - no way, no how.

BUT, I had heard about a fitness routine called Zumba from a Facebook friend.  It sounded like fun.  It sounded like LOTS of fun!   But, I just didn't have the energy to think about it.

Then, I discovered a nutritional health drink.  After about 4 weeks of faithfully taking my drink, I KNEW I finally had the ENERGY to start a fitness routine.

The for exercise is to find something YOU like or enjoy.  And if you haven't been exercising you may not even know what that is - YET!  You will have to explore.   I knew that I did not like to sweat.  So I was going to need something that was different and unusual and really grabbed my interest level  I ordered a popular dance exercise system.

I'll be the first to tell you I am not dancing.  I still stumble and I won't let my hubby watch me.  Only ones allowed in the room are the cat and dog.   BUT, I can tell you have FUN doing it.  It's like a mini vacation because the music is lots of different World music (such as Latin, African, etc.)

And NOW I have ENERGY!  I'm up at 4AM every morning. (Hey folks I am NOT a natural early riser)  I do my exercise.  I do some lite housework.  I head to the office.  I WORK (with much more clarity of mind and cheerfulness) and then I come home to have MORE fun!  No more falling into my chair at 5:30 and scrolling through channels till 8:30 until I drag to bed!!  SO, THIS is what a "normal" life is like??? WHEE!

The key to getting the energy to exercise was making some changes in my diet - a simple nutritional drink supplement that evened out the nutrients in my body.  Once those were even - the desire to exercise exploded.  The energy to start a program was there!
