Mornings are obviously supposed to be the time we wake up and are all charged up to start the new day and tackle all the challenges and opportunities that come with it. However, if your morning is not as active as it should be, you are clearly missing something. Productivity will in any case remain at an all time low, besides mood swings, irritability, etc. which are not going to help you cause at work by any means.

One of the reasons ofmorning fatiguecould be excess of sleep. Yes, that's right, not only shortage, but even excess of sleep can be pretty harmful for the body. Ideally, a sleep of 8 hours is enough for the body to recharge itself. However, if you sleep for more than 10 hours or so, your body 'freezes up', and you are not able to shake off the sleepy feeling of the night before. You might not know, but there is also a great deal of hormones secreted during the night. Any kind of imbalance in this secretion can lead to tremendous morning fatigue .

While one of the reasons has been identified as excess of sleep, another one is that many people (make that a MAJORITY of people) do not eat right at night, which is also the cause of secretion imbalance at night. Eating too much of cholesterol-high foods can have more side effects than you might know of. This is also one of the reasons why nutritionists vouch for a light dinner, simply because your body has to digest the food in the most inactive state, i.e., sleep, making the calorie-high food you have just consumed even harder to absorb into the body.

So the next time you are experiencing severemorning fatigue, remember that it might not be due to lack of things, but due to the excess of them! Don't practice frugality in everything, but when it comes to your health and well being, sometimes less is more.
