Weddings can already be stressful enough for the father of the bride. Not only does the father traditionally pony up most of the cash to pay for all of the wedding expenses, but he also has one more duty before the job is complete - the traditional father of the bride wedding toast. If you've got a daughter that is about to be hitched, you know you'll need to prepare some sort of speech. And, if you haven't written one before or aren't very good at public speaking, the thought of writing a wedding toast can be nervewrecking.

When it comes to writing a wedding toast, don't stress yourself out. It's easier than you may think, and with a couple of quick tips that I'm about to share with you, you'll be fully prepared to give the best wedding speech every on your daughters big day!

Make an Outline

As with anything else in life, writing an outline can help you mold together your wedding toast. You can choose to either write this out on paper or just jot down some topics on notecards and keep them in order. Either way, creating an outline will help you fit together all of the things you want to speak about when you give your speech.

Don't Get 'Too' Detailed

Stories are great, but nobody wants to hear 10 stories in complete detail. This is why writing an outline is good, as you'll start to find things that you want to focus on. Dragging on your wedding toast can bore people quickly, having them lose interest fast. This will do nothing more than frazzle you, so make sure you don't get too in-depth if you want to remain focused throughout your speech.

Try Pre-Written Speeches

Using pre-written speech templates can help spice up your wedding toast and give it some 'beef' if you're short with words. Pre-written templates are sort of 'fill in the blank'. You can find a variety of different speech templates online that can help you write a speech that packs a punch and will stay in the minds of everyone at the reception forever!

Are you in a wedding party or have your own wedding coming up? If you don't already have a speech prepared, you need to visit Wedding Speeches now, where you'll find a collection of pre-written wedding speeches that will help you write an incredible, tear-jerking speech that everyone will remember!
