Naturally, a woman trying to conceive must observe a balanced diet to achive optimal health benefits so that her reproductive system is condusive to conception. Being emotionally stable and getting enough sleep also play an vital role for both partners in trying to get a baby.

A healthy diet consists of all the vital nutrients needed for a healthy body, especially for a mother-to-be. There is no specific list of fertility superfood. However, the following is considered as one of the fertility superfood and for couples who are planning to have a baby, you can include the following superfood in your daily regime which can help boost your fertility.

1. Royal jelly

Royal jelly is a honey bee secretion and is said to improve the fertility in both men and women. It helps by increasing the quality of the male sperm and increasing the quality of the female eggs. Royal Jelly is rich in vitamins, A, B, C, D and E. It also contains minerals such as calcium, iron and amino acids, which helps in the treatment of PMS, menopause symptoms, infertility and impotence. However, once you are confirmed pregnant, you should refrain from consuming royal jelly.

2. Honey

Honey has endless benefits. It is rich in the minerals and amino acids that can nourish the reproductive system, thus improving fertility. For the man, drinking warm milk with honey can help increase sperm count. Honey works well with other spices too, especially with cinnamon, in curing various ailments.

3.Garlic

Garlic has a pungent smell but this wonderful root contains a lot of fertility boosting nutrients. It contains the mineral selenium, which is an antioxidant that provides normal conception and helps prevent miscarriage. Garlic also helps in maintaining strong healthy sperm. It is also a source of vitamin B6, which helps to boost the levels of the sex hormones.

4. Salmon

Salmon is a great fish for boosting fertility. It is abundant in essential fatty acids (EFAs), also known as Omega 3, which is important in regulating hormones. It is also essential for quality sperm development and mobility. Unlike swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish, a few to mention, salmon does not pose the risk of containing toxic levels of mercury, which can be dangerous to your unborn baby. Farmed salmon contains antibiotics and toxic food dyes, so choose wild salmon instead.
