Cancer is not the easiest diagnosis to receive. However, there is hope in the fact that each day, thousands of people are experiencing the joys that come with the good news of cancer being in remission or simply being cured completely.
It is an unfortunate fact that many of us will have to experience the loss of a loved one due to cancer or witness the suffering and pain of someone who is going through cancer treatments while the search continues for a cure. In the meantime, we can all play a collective part in speeding up the process of finding a cure for cancer by raising cancer awareness through the sale of jewelry, gifts, apparel and fundraising efforts that target cancer research.
The term ‘cancer' no longer has to be a death sentence. Rather, cancer is something that many of us are prepared to face head on, reassured that all of the research and medical experts will one day find a cure for all causes and forms of cancer. This only makes funding cancer research that much more important. And while many of us do not have millions, let alone thousands of dollars, we can still pool together resources as a group in order to meet the growing demand for research.
A great example of how you can contribute to the cause is in the form of a small donation in the form of the purchase of a pink silicone bracelet to support breast cancer research. Still, others have (and continue to) come up with creative ways to fundraise. Perhaps you host a bake sale in your neighborhood or work with a local restaurant to sponsor research. Participating in a local 5k race or marathon or other sporting event often serves the dual purpose of not only contributing towards cancer research, but also contributing towards your own health and well being.
What are some ways that you have thought about to fight for a cure for cancer? Who do you know among friends and families who have suffered from some of the debilitating effects that cancer is known to have on its patients? Spread the word around about contributing towards the fight for a cure by wearing a catchy t-shirt, bracelet, bow, ribbon, and piece of jewelry or some other accessory that will spark an interest in others. After all, the more people there are fighting, the better the chances are at finding a cure one day.
