According to the Law of Attraction, if we think constantly about what we desire, we will attain it. Unbelievable though this appears, a lot of celebrated and successful people are meant to have achieved their success in just this way and there is a whole batch of books devoted to explaining how this does work. As you will discover as you read to the end of this article, there is even a movie about this very matter. "As A Man Thinketh" published in 1902 and written by James Allen is an early and concise account of the Law of Attraction. To quote Allen from this work, "The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors, that which it loves, and also that which it fears. It reaches the height of its cherished aspirations. It falls to the level of its unchastened desires - and circumstances are the means by which the soul receives its own. " Not long after this, "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles was published (in 1910). This book made the connection between thought and money: a subject then taken up by Napoleon Hill in his all time best seller "Think and Grow Rich". In this book, Napoleon Hill sums up his findings after interviewing 500 of the most affluent men of the day. He resolved that they had certain things in common, including the power to harness the power of the subconscious using self-suggestion. "As A Man Thinketh" was the inspiration for the movie I referred to earlier. This movie is named "The Secret" and a lot of people claim to have been stirred by its content, many others are unimpressed.
