Contrary to popular belief, occurrence of a Keloid scar can happen to anyone at any stage of their lives. The bad news is that the scar category, often termed as keloids, is not yet thoroughly understood by the medical fraternity. These scars can happen at any stage while a wound is healing. They appear as the wound begins to outgrow in a protruding manner, getting larger and thicker every passing day.
