If I could make a guess, you are probably wondering how to get your ex boyfriend back and keep him by your side once again.

Well, maybe the world is not going to come to an end just because you broke up with your ex boyfriend and do not know what to do about it. But right now, it sure feels that way doesn't it?

To help you get started, I have put together some tips and tricks that you can start using immediately. However, while these tips are proven to work and involve powerful psychological tactics, just remember that they are not supposed to be the be-all and end-all on how to get your ex boyfriend back (because every relationship has its own unique issues and concerns.)

Generally, you have to do a rational analysis on why your relationship ended first. While you are at that, it is necessary that you do not base everything that happened on your emotions because that will only cloud your thinking. Did the break up occur because of a specific event or because of a behavior that your ex boyfriend did not think he could not deal with anymore? Did the relationship end because your ex boyfriend cheated on you, or because he wanted some time on his own?

I am pretty sure that during the break up, you have already questioned your ex boyfriend on why he wanted to end things, right? However, I know how unbelievably hard it is to accept his reason. I mean, everything he said just sounded so ridiculous, right?

However, the first thing you need to do right now in order to get your ex boyfriend back is to respect his decision. Yes, that is going to be very hard but you are going to have to do it if you want to get him back. This little trick involves something called "reverse psychology" — that is, your ex boyfriend is going to start feeling that something is amiss when you stop calling him or sending him text messages. He will start wondering if he has made a mistake of breaking up with you (because he sees that you are able to handle things in a mature way.) Your ex boyfriend is also going to suddenly question if the break up was what he actually wanted — or was it just his impulsive way of dealing with issues in the relationship.

Remember, it will do you no good to beg or plead for him to get back together with you. Relationships just do not work that way… I mean, even people who are IN a relationship get annoyed when their partner constantly calls them up, right?

Next, you need to make a solid plan on what you are going to do or say if you run into him again. This could happen when you bump into him at school or work, and especially when the both of you have some common friends (they are definitely going to be talking about you to him.)

So make sure you do not do anything that could jeopardize your chances of getting your ex boyfriend back. Look cheerful, smile and do not do anything crazy like drowning your sorrows with alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant and it makes people feel even more depressed — so try not to drink at all. Your ex boyfriend is going to notice everything you do, so do not give him a chance to even think of things like, "Well, thank goodness I made the right decision to ask for a break up!"
