Congrats! You are pregnant and anxiously awaiting to hold your baby in your arms. You are probaly wondering what to pack into your hospital bag as your labor approaches. Here is a helpful checklist of the basic necessities.

Your Hospital Bag Checklist

? Insurance Card and Your Birth Plan if you have one

? Nursing Bras and Nursing Pads (Whether or not you plan to nurse) these are essential for support and leak-protection

? Underwear, ones that you do not care if you get blood or body fluid on

? A Comfy Bathrobe

? Lip Balm (My lips were very dry during labor)

? Hair Scrunchie

?  Basic Toiletries Essentials- Your Hairbrush, Toothpaste and Toothbrush, Deoderant, Makeup, Shampoo and Conditioner, Contact Lens Case and Solution or Eyeglasses if you wear them

? Hairdryer

? Bath Towel, hospital towels are generally very thin

? Phone List of everyone to call once your baby is born, cell phone and charger or a calling card if your hospital will not permit a cell phone (most do not!!)

? Change for the Vending Machines

? Breast pump and Nursing Cover

? Camera, Camcorder, Chargers

? Baby’s going home outfit, receiving blanket, extra blankets, pacifiers, formula if you decide not to breastfeed.

? Carseat

? A cute, going home outfit for  pictures, cute comfy sweats will do just fine!
