Gout is a form of arthritis that often occurs in the middle of the night. Often labeled the 'disease of kings' gout haunts over 2 million Americans annually. Gout is also known as the most painful types of arthritis. Gout results when needle-like crystals of uric acid form in the body's connective tissue or lodge themselves in the space between two bones or joints.

Cause of Gout: -

• Lifestyle: From eating to drinking to weight, your lifestyle - particularly your diet - can greatly affect your chances of getting gout.
• Alcohol: More than two drinks a day for men and one drink a day for women - can quickly lead to gout.
• Overweight: People who weigh 30 pounds or more than their model weight risk getting gout simply because there is more tissue available for breaking down the uric acid. Diets rich in urine food can also increase your chances for gout.
• Family History: One out of every four people afflicted with gout have a family history with gout.
• Age and Sex: Men are most often affected with gout as well as women who have reached menopause.

Natural Remedies for Gout: -

• Exercise: Strengthening exercises to improve muscles around joint. Rotational movements to lubricate joint.
• Charcoal Poultice: Make a poultice using 1/2 cup of activated charcoal, 3 tablespoons of ground flaxseed and warm water.
• Hot / Cold Compresses: The application of alternate hot and cold compresses helps dissolve the uric acid crystals that are causing you gout pain in your joint(s).
• Fruit and Vegetables: Eat 5 servings of fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Their water soluble dietary fiber content helps to naturally flush uric acid out of your system.
• Cherries: Cherry juice is a very popular natural treatment for gout. Not only cherry juice, but fresh and dried cherries.
• Water: Drink at least 2 liters of water everyday. Water helps to flush excess uric acid out of your system. Excess uric acid is the cause of your gout and you need to work at reducing the uric acid levels in your bloodstream.

The immune system is the key to fighting every kind of insult to the body, from that little shaving scratch to the gigantic amount of viruses the constantly try to invade our bodies. A weak immune system can be caused by physical and emotional stress, loss of sleep, athletic overtraining, common bacterial or viral infections, certain drug therapies and surgery. Diets that contain excessive fat, alcohol or refined sugar can also lead to a weak immune system. As can a diet that doesn't have enough protein, vitamin or mineral intake.

Causes of Weak Immune System: -

• Too much fat
• Medications
• Improper dealings with stress
