Preserving perfumes

Aromas that have highly complex fragrance compounds need to be protected from three most degrading elements-Heat, Light and Oxygen. If you want your perfume to have an everlasting fragrance base it originally had for long, you will have to store it properly.

Perfumes ought to be kept in areas that are away from heat sources and less exposed to light. A bottle of perfume will keep its smell character intact for long when it’s almost full. But as soon the level goes down the oxygen mixture will alter the perfumes original fragrance.

Best way to preserve your perfumes is to refrigerate them at low temperatures say in 3-7 degree Celsius. Opting for perfume bottles with spray dispensers rather than open bottle will minimize oxygen exposure. Sprays can also protect your perfume liquid from dust and other organic mixture that can contaminate it.

Heat can initiate a reaction with other complex compounds and alter the composition of your perfume contents. So it’s safe to keep your perfumes bottles away from heat sources.

Health Issues

Some perfume Colognes compounds can cause health problems too.

Excessive use of perfumes may cause allergic reactions of the skin.Substances like acetone present in many perfumes can cause allegicskin reactions or nausea.

Natural aromas made from natural materials like sandalwood and musk can lead to species endangerment or illegal trafficking.

Synthetic aromas rather being more affordable and consistent may result in environmental problems and asthmatic reactions in humans.
