Everyone is looking for a miracle drug. That one fix-all drug that will end all their problems and cure everything that ails them, or at least most of that. However this drug either does not exist or it is being hidden for a very select group of people who are not talking about it. There are however many different remedies for many of the things that ail us, even hair loss. Finding a hair loss remedy can be hard though as there are a lot of them out there. The first thing you need to figure out when you are trying to find a hair loss remedy is what the cause of your hair loss is. This can be very simple or it can be a difficult process because it involves many factors. Hair loss can come from medical issues, like thyroid disorders and diabetes. It can come from hormonal imbalances. It can come from our genes such as with male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness. It can come about from major sickness, surgery or trauma. It can even come about from things we may not even think to look at such as stress, anxiety or depression. You can even lose your hair from not having the proper nutrients in your body. Your doctor can run a few tests if you are unsure of the cause to help you determine the cause of your hair loss. He or she can even help you review your medical history and even your medications to see if any of that could be the culprit. Once you know the cause, you are one step closer to finding the hair loss remedy you are looking for. The next thing you need to do is consider what kind of treatment you would like to go through. You can take pills, apply creams, lotions and sprays, you can use shampoos, you can brush your hair with special combs, you can go the natural route or you can even go the surgical route. You also need to consider the type of hair loss you have and how it is treated. If you are losing your hair from folliculitis, an inflammation and infection of the hair follicle, you would not want to use a laser comb. This will not help with the problem. You may see the thinner spots of your head grow thicker but you will still be losing your hair. Instead, you should use an antibiotic ointment or pill to kill the infection and get your hair loss under control before it becomes permanent. Discussing your hair loss remedy with your doctor is a good idea. If you are looking to get a prescribed medication, this is the only way you can do it. Either way, they can tell you what to expect, answer your questions and help you keep an eye on your hair loss. It is kind of like having a hair loss coach there for you. Just remember to listen to your doctor and keep yourself as informed as possible.
