High blood pressure can be treated with prescribed medications, a natural treatment and hypertension friendly lifestyle. Either of this is vital and necessary for saving life.

Common Prescribed Medications

There are several medications for high blood pressure. These are Alpha Blockers, Angiotensin Receptor Blockers, Beta-Blockers, ACE Inhibitors, diuretics, Clonidine, Calcium Channels Blockers, and Minoxidil.

Natural treatments

Right food intake is the natural treatment for high blood pressure. Always check the cholesterol content when you eat foods. Choose one with low cholesterol levels. Always have a low of saturated fats or Trans fats in order to reduce or prevent heart diseases.

It is necessary to eat fish instead of meat since fish Omega 3Acids contents. Eating tuna, salmon, trout and mackerel can reduce the risk of blood clotting as well as lowering high blood pressure. Flaxseed and canola oil are known to be rich in Omega3 acid.

Oat is another healthy product for reducing high blood pressure. Soluble fibers are contained in oats which can help reducing the amount of bad cholesterol in the body.

Another natural treatment which is heart friendly is the olive oil. You can use this in your regular recipe and it is a good source of antioxidant.

Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats can help maintaining the elasticity of the blood vessel and a good blood pressure. These can be found in nuts and seeds.

Reishi which is a mushroom also lowers high blood pressure. This may be taken in the form of a capsule.

Green leafy vegetables supply magnesium to our body. Spinach and legumes are the kinds of green leafy vegetables which are good to our body; hence, they should be included as part of our diet.

Another important source of magnesium is the malic acid and this is derived from grapes and tart apples. This improves the energy level in our body and reduces muscle stress.It has no side effect at all.

Citric acid like in limes and lemon are very helpful tour blood. Like the malic acid, it has no side effects.
