Are you going through the pain of a breakup? The process of healing a broken heart is never easy, but there are things you can do today to start feeling better. And with a little bit of guidance, you can even win him back if that's what you truly desire.

Understand that the painful feelings you're experiencing are totally normal and that it's ok to feel them. Resisting these painful emotions is a natural reaction, but what you resist will persist. That means that the more you try to suppress or fight these feelings, the more powerful they will become. The first step towards healing a broken heart is to accept your feelings and experience them fully. As soon as you're able to do this, you'll immediately feel a sense of relief and peace as though a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

Is getting back together with your ex what you'd truly like to see happen? If so, it's important to make sure you're coming across as needy or desperate. The more anxious you are to get back together, the more likely you are to act in ways that are out of character for you. Resist the urge to throw yourself at your ex or chase him. This type of behavior will only push your ex farther away and make it almost impossible to win him back.

When you act in a desperate manner, you give up all your personal power and independence. Plus your ex will just take you for granted if he sees you're totally available and basically throwing yourself at his feet.

The best thing to do is give the relationship a healthy break. During this break, work on building up your inner strength and independence. Your ex will notice that you're no longer chasing him and will notice the positive improvements. Plus the time off will give him time to miss you. How can he miss you if you're always chasing after him?

By giving your ex plenty of space and working on improving yourself, you send a message that you're no longer totally available and you're doing fine without him. You're showing that you're a strong and independent person and this tends to be a very attractive quality. Your odds of being able to win him back will be much greater now that he's no longer feeling pressured by you.

Next Step:Don't hesitate to seek out professional advice that can take you by the hand and walk you through this tough time. Check out Healing A Broken Heart for more free tips on EXACTLY what to say and do to get your loved one back in your arms fast (even if you're the only one trying.)
