A lot of us spend around fifty dollars each week on lunch alone. Either we don’t have the time to prepare our meal in the morning or we simply prefer to consume what the fast food restaurants have to offer. The convenience of fast food joints around each and every corner has made our waistlines bigger and our wallets smaller. Not only are we consuming hundreds upon hundreds of calories, but we are also spending a lot of money. Five to ten dollars may not appear as much on a daily basis, but when you add up the total at the end of the month you will be shocked. And even if money is not an issue, think about your health. For anyone who wants to remain healthy or lose weight , eating habits such as this one are unacceptable.


One of the best ways to ensure health and affordable nutrition is to bring your own lunch to work. Let’s face it, you can take all of the hoodia pills in the world, but unless you learn to cut fast food from your diet, you will never see any weight loss results. By bringing your own lunch to work you can rest assure that you are consuming a well balanced meal each and every day. Furthermore, you no longer have to worry about the calories, cholesterol, and sodium. Some valuable food choices include whole grain breads, whole grain pitas, whole grain wraps, vegetables, eggs, tuna fish, cheese, salmon, and lean meats. After you successfully purchased these items, you can create a wide variety of lunches. Anything from delicious sandwiches to innovative pita wraps. Salmon lettuce wraps or even grilled chicken pita wraps, the possibilities are endless.  Along with a sandwich you can also bring your favorite fruit or veggie to munch on when you start feeling hungry. As you can see, it is quite simple to make your own healthy and affordable lunch each and every day.
