How many times during the week do you find yourself wishing for a piece of that triple chocolate cake? If you are like majority of people, it is something that we just can’t escape. Although some people can afford to have a delightfully satisfying sugary snack without the feeling of guilt, for those of us trying to lose weight it is quite a different story. When you spend every day courting calories, you absolutely dread the common sweet-tooth. However, the feeling is sometimes unavoidable. So what are some of the ways we can satisfy our sweet tooth without feeling guilty? If what you are craving is chocolate, there are many ways to satisfy your hunger with minimal calorie intake. One option is to cut up some of your favorite fruit, whether it may be strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, apples, or pears. Once you dice some of your favorite fruit, you can pour a little bit of chocolate syrup in a dish and dip your fruit. By dipping your fruit in chocolate, you have a lot more control over your calorie intake and you also gain the nutritional value of fruit. And if you just want a quick simple fix, you can always consume a square or two of dark chocolate. Dark chocolate, unlike milk chocolate, is rich in antioxidants. And if what you are craving are creamy sweets, you can always opt for flavored yogurt or a little cup of pudding. You can dress up your yogurt with fruit, honey, and nuts, or you can simply opt for a yogurt that already has a flavor. You can even satisfy your chocolate craving with a chocolate flavored fat-free yogurt. These are just a few ideas how to satisfy your sweet- tooth without losing focus on your diet.
