When hair loss happens, there are many questions a person will ask. One of them is why they are having this hair loss problem. This is actually a good place to start because it is the only way to figure out how to effectively treat the problem. There are actually several different ways in which hair loss can be caused. One of them that many people are unaware of is high fever. There are a few things any person needs to be aware of when it comes to high fever and hair loss. One of the things people should know about high fever and hair loss is that they are connected. Any time that a person's bidy goes through a trauma, it throws off the hormonal balance in the body. This can cause hair loss. Hair loss from this cause is usually noticed a few weeks after the fever occurred. Usually it happens when the high fever is sustained for a period of time. There is nothing that can be done about this type of hair loss. The only thing that can be done is to wait it out. The problem will go away on its own, once your body has gotten the hormones back under control. Keep in mind though it may be a few months before you see full results as the normal hair growth cycle is not a quick process. High fever and hair loss is not the only cause of hair loss that many people do not know about. Hair loss can also come from a psychological disorder called trichtillomania. This is a condition where a person pulls out their hair compulsively. This tends to happen predominantly in women and usually presents itself in during the teen years. It can be treated with counseling, though there may be permanent damage to the hair follicles that may not allow the hair to grow back as it should. Another cause of hair loss many people are unaware of is folliculitis. This is a condition that starts out as just inflammation of the hair follicle. A person would just notice a red bump on their scalp from this. Over time though, this can turn to an infection. If this infection is left untreated it can damage the hair follicles around it causing hair loss. This can be very easily remedied by getting antibiotic ointment for you scalp when you visit you dermatologist. There are many casues of hair loss that people are unaware of and high fever and hair loss is only one of these. This is why it is imperative to see your doctor at the first sign of hair loss. Do not just assume that it is a sign that you are getting old. It can actually be a sign of serious medical problem requring attention. Your doctor will be able to figure out the cause of your hair loss. If he or she is unable to do so, they can refer you to a hair loss doctor who can help you with your problem
