My comments may be a bit controversial and it may enrage people but I as a religious person and trying to evaluate the purpose of life? From a logical standpoint I cannot figure it out. We kill and pillage and rape in the name of religion and God. Yet if God loves all of us why in turn would we not love each other unconditionally?
Let us imagine for this article that humans invented God, the devil, heaven and hell. Why would man do that? Probably to control society’s behaviors. If we create fear in people then it might make people conform to a way of life that those who are in charge would prefer. Let us not forget that history is always written by those that won and are in power. It is based on their point of view how things went down and this will be true until this planet no longer exists.
Maybe we are no better then animals? The only difference between humans and all other animals is that we are conscious of our existence. Therefore we are terrified of death because our selfish side wants us to live forever. We create Heaven so that when we die we can live forever in heaven so in reality we never die. We just become another form of life. Every religion ahs this basic belief spelled out in different ways. Well humans have a brain and have deductive reasoning. Well so do other animals.
How are we like animals? Animal’s basic drive is sex (procreation) and eating food to live. Sound like humans. Why do men try to work so hard and achieve a level of financial wealth? So they can get better trim. Why do woman wear makeup? So they can attract a hot guy. Why do they want these people, so we can have sex! Why do we want sex because it is a basic urge, it is in our DNA. Why do we want to eat? Because it is in our DNA and we want to live.
Why is there such a high level of divorce in society? We preach that God created one man and one woman that will always complement each other. If that is true there should be no divorce. God never created marriage man did. Some guy a long time ago was probably pissed that his women was stepping out on him while he was stepping out on her so he made up this rule.
In those days was it not written that, woman are inferior to men? Well interesting how people forced a change of that image over time. If it is written in the bible it must be true, we cannot go against God, until society deems it acceptable to go against God because culture and societal norms today and attitudes towards women have changed. The same could be said for anything else that in the bible was at one time bad is now acceptable and good.
These are just some of the examples that may prove that we are not so special after all and that we were not put on this planet for a greater purpose and once we die we die. Kind of scary.
