Invitations for a wedding should be clear regarding the time and place of the event. A wedding invitation can also say a lot of things about the wedding that the guest who just received it may want to know. Among the many things that a wedding invitation may give as a clue are the motif of the wedding, the degree of formality of the wedding, the menu of the wedding reception and the wedding registry of the couple. In this case, the soon to be wed couple should make sure to give as much as the guests may want to know about their wedding.
The choice of a wedding invitation card is entirely up to the couple's preferences. In this day and age, there are so many different choices ranging from the formal embossed thick cards to quirky and casual cards that have the couple's pictures on it.
The Theme or Motif of the Wedding
A wedding invitation can easily drop a hint regarding the color scheme of the wedding or the theme of the wedding. Formal weddings usually have heavy invitations with embossed words and what not in the invitation. Guests are obliged to wear gowns or tuxedoes if the wedding invitation is a formal one.
Attire may be indicated in the wedding invitation if the bridal couple wishes to. It is usually written in the lower left hand corner of the invitation itself that states when and where the wedding will be. Guests usually get the gist of the wedding by just looking at the wedding invitation.
Other things that may be indicated in the wedding invitation are the place where the wedding registry is and the menu that may be served during the wedding reception. The wedding registry is the place where the couple has made their wedding gift choices and where the couple's wedding guests may see these choices and buy them for the couple.
Guests do not necessarily have to buy from the wedding registry but using this option gives the couple a chance to swap duplicate items or items which they already have for things which were not bought for them. The name of the wedding registry store is usually included in the wedding invitation to indicate the couple's desire to have the guest buy there.
The wedding menu may be included in the wedding invitation when it is sent out to the guests. This option has been included in the wedding invitation just recently in consideration of the many preferences and conditions that the guests may have which limits their food choices.
