Bridgette Sears is now a changed girl due to an eating disorder rehab facility . Thanks to the immense help and guidance, she got from an eating disorder treatment center; she is able to have a healthy perspective of life.  Nearly three months ago, Bridgette's health was in dire straits; her anorexic lifestyle had taken a heavy toll on her mind and body.  Bridgette, easily one of the most beautiful girls in her college, was a perfectionist in everything she did.  But this sense of perfectionism did her in, when she believed that a thin, slim body is always attractive and desirable. She used to read a lot of fashion magazines and the continuous watching pictures of thin, waif like bodies made her think that she was nowhere close to the models in the magazine

Bridgette decided that she would become thin and desirable (in her own words) by cutting down on food and what she terms as ‘unwanted calories' in food. She read about different types of dieting methods and hit upon one which she liked and that of course, was the most devastating one. She took on a diet which asked her only to drink limejuice and pineapple juice without taking any solid food. Her weight began to reduce drastically and she did become thin but soon her health began to regressively go on a decline.  Compliments did come her way but deep inside Bridgette was not happy with herself. She lacked the energy to do things and would feel lethargic soon.   One day, she had collapsed while performing for a college function. When she was taken to the doctors, it was found that her blood pressure had dipped and that she had become very weak.

Bridgette's parents were asked to take her to a good eating disorder treatment center because even though her health condition would be fine; it would be temporary because she had begun to suffer from the addiction to become thin as a reed.   She was put on two month rehabilitation where she had to meet with dieticians, counselors and other specialists who worked on her mind and made her unlearn different set of myths she had harbored so far.  Bridgette in time began to understand where she went wrong and decided to change her habit. She found out that she had purposely neglected her health by chasing the stupid articles on those vain magazines, which were of no use.

The doctors made her realize that Bridgette was lucky to have come for an eating disorder rehabilitation program where she was not only treated of her addiction, but she would also be able to make good food choices and not be too fussy about food. She realized that she was definitely neglecting a lot of vital nutrients like protein, minerals and carbs that were essential for life processes in the body. Soon after taking on to a good balanced diet regime, Bridgette's health improved and she became fit and healthy all over again. The glow returned to her face and now she was cheerful as a bird and beautiful as an angel again.  She does not over-exert herself anymore but make sure that she does things that give us happiness, health and peace of mind.
