For people without any health insurance sometimes it's better to just go to a cheap dental clinic than get insured. If you don't have a health insurance with coverage on dental works, it could be cheaper for you to go to a city dental clinic and pay the bill out of your own pocket. There are a lot of cheap clinics you can go to, and there are a few types you can choose from too.
Some of the low-cost clinics are run by the state government, or a by federal program. They are run for the low-income families and individuals who can't afford to pay for their healthcare, these clinics are a big help to poor families because these clinics can greatly reduce the costs of most of their dental procedures. But there is a screening process involved before you can be eligible to avail of these clinics, but the process is usually quick and they would attend to you immediately after you qualify. To get a list of clinics in your area contact your state health department.
You can also go to regular walk-in clinics because they usually offer discount dental plans, you only need to pay a nominal fee to enroll in the plan and then you will be given large discounts on dental work that you need to get done immediately.
And finally you can also check the bulletin boards of your community centers for dates of medical missions in your areas. On these days dentists and other health professionals volunteer their time and skills to help the financially troubled. They do dentals works free of charge or at least greatly discounted rates, they do this because of their civic duty to their communities. But be sure to secure an appointment slot quickly because these free medical missions do tend to fill up quite fast.
