Today, breakups are as common as hookups and many times if it wasn't your idea to break up, you want to know "How can do I get him back after a break up?". Every relationship has a different shelf life so to speak and sometimes they end before you are ready for them to. Some last a few days, some a few weeks, some a few months, etc. If you weren't ready for it to be over, maybe it doesn't have to be.

Breakups make you feel depressed and sad. Manywomen obsess over their ex and can't picture their lives without that person in it and they constantly ask " how do I get him back after a break up ?"  Unhealthy obsessions with an ex can have an impact on every part of your life. If you cannot move on, you will have no chance of being able to get back with your ex. Even if you are trying to get your ex back, you need to be able to get past this relationship and be prepared to live without this person if you can't work it out.

Don't despair over a break up and let yourself fall into a complete funk. That is the worst thing you can do. If you can pull yourself up and if you handle the situation correctly, you can still be a part of your ex's life, even if you are no longer dating him. Being able to remain friends can actually lead to you getting back with your ex at some point. But turning into a stalking crazy person will not get you anywhere!

So, let's answer the question, "How can I get him back after a break up?"

1. Start living your life without him!If you cannot demonstrate to your ex that you can live without him, you will never get him back. No one, man or woman, wants to date a weak, desperate person with no life. Would you? A strong, confident person is attractive and sexy. If you want to eventually be able to get your ex back, strive to show how independent, sexy and confident you are. This will make you more desirable to your ex and other men as well. You want you ex to see how great you are and what he is missing by not being with you.

2. Drag yourself off the sofa and go somewhere!I don't care if you would rather sit on the couch and watch Grey's Anatomy reruns while crying over him. The only way to get out of your funk is to get out there and see people. Being depressed and miserable is no way to get your ex back. This will only make sure he remembers why you all broke up to begin with! Be happy, be fun, be energetic and do new things!

3. Don't let yourself go physically just because you are depressed.Keep up your appearance for yourself and your well being, not for him! Being depressed usually doesn't allow you the time or energy to do your hair, your makeup and your nails. Get out and have a girls' day. Get your nails done, get a haircut, get a facial! Do anything to make YOU feel pretty and sexy. Most of the time, doing nice things for yourself will boost your mood tremendously! Your ex will see you and wonder what the heck he was thinking!

4. Take up a new hobby and change your normal routine. This will help you keep your mind off your ex even while you are trying to get this person back. You will be happier because you will be having fun learning something new. Remember, while you goal is to get your ex back, you have to continue to live in.

These four tips are just the beginning. All relationships require hard work and one that was troubled enough to cause you to break up will be even harder. There will be a lot of resentment and hurt feelings to overcome, especially if you broke up with your ex and now you want this person back. Recovering from a break up is not usually successful because you usually remember exactly why you broke up with this person to begin with once you start hanging out again.

Before you go down this path, be sure that this is what you want. Don't try and get your ex back just because you don't want to be alone. Be sure that you really want to make this work or you will just end up hurting this person again. Be aware that if your ex broke up with you, chances are not good that you will get this person back, no matter how hard you try. But, that being said, couples do reunite and go on to have great relationships.
