Being a reveler at weddings is great, but at times you'll find that you can't find a way to attend a wedding due to some unforeseen incidents. It's a little thing you can do to embellish their occasion as well, and you'll reserve a spot in their hearts. Naturally you can always choose from the more traditional wedding gifts.
You can come up with many options to compensate for your absence and it is your call for sure, but be kind and let the pair know beforehand that you are unable to be there, and the reason for that. You may choose gift certificates, greeting cards, or video messages, but don't forget to let them know that you can't be a guest at the wedding, and give a valid reason.
