Almost every time I approach a task a cloud of smoke fills my brain and I become unsure of what to do next. My brain fills up with unnecessary information such as questioning authority and questioning my ability to learn new material. Upon completing my previous assignment I was able toaccess my hidden learning and personality styles. I have discovered that my learning styles are visual, kinesthetic, and intrapersonal. In addition, I have also determined that my personality styles are adventurer, thinker, and organizer.

Having extensive computer building experience I can relate to my findings. Computers and laptops have been my hobby for the past five years and it requires much physical movement and spatial skills to fix or troubleshoot computers. There were numerous times when laptops started to fail and it required disassembly to find the problem. Then once the problem was discovered it had to be replaced and afterwards needed another assembly to put the laptop back together. The whole process took four to six hours to operate and find the solution. It was in this exact environment where I developed my learning style abilities.

Another set of my learning ability is being intrapersonal. The whole concept of intrapersonal is dealing with one individual object or person at a time and having peace and quiet simultaneously. Through my hobby this distinctive trait has been growing and it has become routine in my daily life. My weekly activities consist of working at a yogurt shop as a cashier for at least twenty hours, working on my homework, and attending class. Looking deeply at this type of schedule is at times very routine and robotic. As a cashier I am focused on one person or one transaction a time, and this eliminates room for error according to my findings above. My strategy that works best for me is already in place and has been working exceedingly well for the past three months.

Among work, class, and homework I also enjoy physical activities. I currently subscribe to Bicycling Magazine which covers legal issues, road racing, stress, training, triathlons, and many more pertaining to road bikes. I enjoy riding bikes and racing bicycles in my free time. Part of my personality is an adventurer and I understand where this skill set comes from. Furthermore my personality style extends to a thinker, and an organizer. My computer building hobby exposes my thinking and organizing style. To build computers from scratch requires much thinking and organizing skills. Firstly there must be a motherboard, hard drive, memory, DVD drive, and an operating system. To assemble all this together takes serious organizing and analytical expertise.

When all parts are assembled together my learning skill results in successful accomplishment. Building upon my learning and personality style I can now use these skills and traits to yield powerful results. These hidden powers, influences, behaviors, values, and desires can now be used for future jobs, assignments, classes, presentations, and career advancement. Hopefully next time I approach a difficult and demanding task my mind can be open and can use my hidden personality and learning styles.
