Review: on the night of November 10th, the 11-year-old boy He Chuhua hanged himself in the rent room and put his fragile life to an end. Yesterday, the president of Dongguan Shipai Dongxiang Primary School where He studied when he was alive told that He was from Yongzhou of Hunan Province and his mother passed away at his seven. In the evening of November 10th, when the teacher came to visit, he refused to open the door; and the boy hanged himself at around nine o’ clock. Why did he commit a suicide? The president revealed that the head teacher criticized He on 1st November but he did come to school from 2nd to 4th. It was really a shock for me to read this news at the first time, as I could not believe that an 11-year-old boy hanged himself and committed a suicide maybe just because of the criticism from his teacher. What made this little boy be so fragile, and by whose hands he was pushed to the road of no return? I was wondered. As a matter of fact, as parents, no matter how busy or tied you are, no matter what you are busy for, dream or living or others? If you have a baby, you should spare some time to communicate with your baby, learn their ideas and requirements, know their stress, explain their bewilderment, accompany your children to grow, parents don’t regret when tragedy happen. Now, some teachers do corporal punishment to their students, it is illegal, teachers should pay more attention to students psychological education which is essential to their healthy growth. Under such status, parents would ignore the healthy growth of their children in the physical and, especially the psychological. Children, growing without care, elementary education and guidance from their parents, would be more sensitive and fragile. Therefore, reviewing on the case mentioned above, even if the father of this 11-year-old boy should be blamed for his ignorance over his son, I think it is the social competition and reality, becoming more severe for the migrant workers and students that caused the tragedy. As the introspection, we as well as the government should think carefully about the balance between the urbanized development and the humanistic spirit, or else, sad stories like this would continue, just as a vicious circle. Sum up, parents should pay more attention on children, whether psychology or life. What’s more, it is important that education system should be changed by our country so as to ease children’s stress. It needs to make great efforts of parents and country together. I hope truly that the juveniles grow up healthily under good condition.
