There are many causes of acne, and often it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause for the treatment of acne. What to do then? It is advisable to avoid certain things to control regular acne breakouts. You can also know what causes acne in you by following this strategy. So, let’s find out what things in acne should be avoided.

Food– Many people tell you to avoid chocolate and oily food in order to get rid of acne. Although this might be true for certain people, there is no clear proof that avoiding such foods actually helps to cure acne or at least control it. You may want to avoid eating a lot of chocolates if you think it causes pimples. My advice is to eat a balanced diet including whole grain foods, fruits, vegetables, dairy products and lots of water to control acne.

Squeezing– To get rid of pimples quickly avoid squeezing them a lot. I know it could be difficult to restrain an urge to pop a zit especially if it has appeared on a very prominent location. Try to use some natural remedy like mask of gram flour to control this urge. Squeezing can not only spread pimples but it also causes scarring.

Stress– Stress can worsen an already acute case of acne. Avoid taking too much stress of work or household. Try to relax, indulge yourself in soothing activities like swimming or go out for a walk regularly. Try to avoid taking pills for the treatment of depression and sleeplessness. Fight these conditions naturally. This way you will also be able to control frequent acne breakouts.

Beauty products– Beauty products including certain cosmetics, cleansers and face washes are not good for acne. You should use a cleanser and a facial wash daily but do not over wash your face. Using good-quality products once or twice a day is enough. If you have oily skin, it’s better to use some home-made facial masks for its treatment rather than applying cheap beauty products.
