Male pattern baldness can result in the formation of hairloss patches. A hairloss patch is a section on the scalp which has no hair growth. We are going to look at how to deal with a hairloss patch so as to get rid of baldness. The best way to deal with a patch that has no hair is to use a combination of two drugs Finasteride and minoxidil. These two drugs work hand in hand. The first drug eliminates the cause for male pattern baldness while the other makes sure that blood flow towards hair follicles is increased. This results in the increase in size of hair follicles as well as boosting new hair growth. This medication however is not instant it takes some time for significant hair growth to become noticeable. However after a period of about two months hair growth on bald patches will become noticeable. Another way to deal with a hairloss patch will be to use herbal remedies. Herbal remedies involve the use of some naturally combined ingredients that can stimulate hair follicles to start producing hair. Some herbal remedies inhibit the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) the compound known to cause male pattern baldness. When the DHT concentration in the scalp is reduced hair growth is promoted as hair follicles are able to increase in size when DHT is absent. Hair follicles will start to show increased activity which will include recovery of lost hair. You can also deal with a bald patch by using a low intensity laser comb. These laser combs can be used to comb the scalp to boost hair growth. A laser comb stimulates the amount of blood flowing towards hair follicles to increase. When this happens dormant hair follicles are bound to wake up and new hair growth in bald areas will become visible. Laser combs however can be very expensive so this kind of treatment may not be affordable for many that is why this treatment is not so popular amongst hair loss patients. If the hairloss patch is troublesome to treat, hair transplant surgery is a possible option. Hair transplant surgery will involve the selection of healthy hair follicles on the scalp which are to be uprooted and transplanted onto the sections of the scalp that have no hair growth. This is an effective treatment for baldness for it involves the introduction of hair follicles onto areas that have dead hair follicles. If transplanted hairs establish themselves firmly and hair growth starts this solves baldness permanently. Unlike in the case of drug treatment hair transplant surgery may be a permanent solution to baldness and if the factor causing baldness is eliminated, there will be no possible chances of developing another bald patch. Another variation of hair surgery which can also be used to cover bald patches is scalp reduction. This kind of hair replacement surgery involves cutting out a section of the scalp and pulling the skin together, so as to cover bald patches that appear on one side of the scalp.
