About half a century ago, many thought that the war against microbes has been already won after the discovery of antibiotics. Viewed as a miracle drug, scientists and experts during that period have started to see a decline in the number of serious illnesses and diseases in the country and in most part of the world. However, a few decades later, we are now seeing a sudden rise in the number of mutated and more virulent forms of viruses. And now, there are still a lot of viral diseases that seem to be impervious to treatment and medications available.

Living inside a bubble is not the only option in order to prevent yourself from getting infected by various illnesses and diseases that abound. There are a lot more simple and practical ways to protect yourself from such seemingly incurable infections. Here are some of them:

Take Medications With Care

It is important for everyone to follow doctor's orders. If your physician told you to take antibiotics for 7 or 15 days, you need to take that medication for the number of days indicated. Stronger strains of bacteria and other microbes develop immunity against drugs when people stop taking their medicines for the prescribed period. You may feel a little better after a day or two of taking antibiotics, but this may not be enough to totally kill or eradicate the bacteria that make you sick.

Proper Hygiene

A lot of diseases are spread by contaminated hands. Certain types of hepatitis can spread when an infected person handles food and drinks using contaminated hands. Thus, if you do not want to ingest harmful microorganisms, you better make it a habit to clean your hands before and after using the toilet and definitely before you prepare food. It may also be a good idea to take a bath regularly and to change your clothing and undies daily to prevent spread of fungal infections.

Be More Active

A way to boost your immune system is by exercising regularly. If you want to strengthen muscles, cardiovascular system and improve your blood circulation, you better sweat it out for at least 30 minutes everyday. Playing tennis, swimming or even belly dancing are some fun ways to exercise and do workout.

Eat Your Veggies And Fruits

When you were younger, you probably hated eating spinach and other green leafy vegetables. However, Popeye is right. Spinach, leafy greens and other vegetables and fruits are good sources of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that your body needs to repair itself, to produce brain chemicals and hormones for proper bodily functions, and for the protection of your organs.

Take Some Supplements

No matter how healthy your diet is, there is a big chance that you won't be able to get the proper amount of minerals and vitamins that your body needs to function at its peak everyday, let alone protect you from disease-causing microbes. Taking regular supplements of Vitamin C, multivitamins or whatever minerals or vitamins your body may lack are very helpful in bolstering your immune system.

Clean Your Colon

Many people do not realize that their colons may be filled with stool and waste products that have not been properly eliminated for weeks, months and even years. This is especially true for those who are nor fond of eating high-fiber foods. Because of the waste build up, the gut is not able to properly absorb the minerals and vitamins from the food and supplements. To eliminate the rotting waste and toxins inside your body, you need to clean your colon through detoxification. There are many ways to detoxify, but the easiest is by using a safe and effective colon-cleaning system such as Colpurin. To know more about how Colpurin can help you, simply go to
