Christian treatment centers and addiction have a lot in common. Addiction may be different in the aspect of being destructive to society, but the faith based treatment center offers the solution to the problem and does so in a very strategic and unique way. The community is the place where addicts have to congregate so the community is the first place that is being affected. The people in the community need to take a stronger stance to fighting against drug addiction, but nine times out of ten, they do not do so on a level to which it can be eradicated. As long as drugs are coming into the United States, drug addiction will always be a problem, but taking an approach of eradication will prove that arduous efforts are being taken to combat the problem by those who have to live amongst the problem.

The drug addict is a sick individual. This is a person who is hardly aware of his or her activities. Most of the time, the person is high or going to the next high. The person cares nothing about anyone else. The person is in a self destructive mode and cannot seem to stop. They are lonely and longing people. They are always longing for hope and love. This is why the Christian rehab facilities are ideal for individuals like these. It provides a place of hope, refreshing, transformation and confidence. This is not a place where you are forced to choose a religion. It is a place of refuge where you can find help in the midst of your trouble from a God that is always willing to help you.

It is important for the addict to know how much they are loved. They may be looking for love in the wrong places and in fact, that may have forced them into drug addiction. God's love is forever. It is the same yesterday, today and forever. God never changes. He remains the same and he offers his love to anyone who will embrace it.

In the Christian treatment centers, the addict is shown the love of God through the staff who are employed there. It is this love that usually captivates them to stay in treatment. There is no judgmental notion nor are there any feelings of discomfort. God's love is permeated from the sharing of the Word of God, educating them about drugs, giving them the detoxification treatment, showing them how to maintain their relationship with God through prayer and supplication; how to study the Word of God and how to manage their emotions and internal turmoil by the strength that God provides from within.

Pat learned what real love was when she entered into the treatment program. All of her life, Pat felt as if no one else cared. She longed for someone to show true love to her. However, it was not until she was admitted into the faith based rehab center that she understand that love is action. It is not just telling someone that you love them. You have to show it and they certainly did.
