Dark circles are not a medical concern, but they can be very annoying and embarrassing. Almost everyone gets dark circles under eyes at some time or the other, and they are usually temporary. They are the second highest dermatological problem.
There are several ways to get rid of under eye circles that are very fast, inexpensive and effective. If you have dark bags under your eyes you know that you feel self conscious about them. Women have the luxury of trying to cover them up with make up, but that’s a bit of a challenge for men. Using a few natural ingredients can help diminish the appearance of dark circles regardless of your gender.
First, you can use one of the many creams that are on the market. You have plenty of choices out there and you can try them all over and over again, bud once you find one that actually works, then you should stick with it. Not all creams will work for everybody so you might have to try a few before you find the right one, but once you do you need to stick with it.
One easy way to get rid of dark circles under eyes is to use a cooled tea bag. Simply make your morning tea and then allow the bag to sit and cool. You just need to apply this to the eye for a period of 10 minutes a time. If you’re not a tea drinker you can use the same technique but substitute cucumber slices for the tea bags. If the cucumbers are chilled you’ll see better results.
This is probably the most cliché cure for dark circles and yet it’s also the one that works very well. Take thin slices of cucumber and apply them directly to your eyes. They will not only help to lighten dark circles, they will reduce puffiness, and be extremely soothing to eyes that are also irritated.
Castor oil is thought to be very helpful when it comes to getting rid of dark circles under eyes. This is an easy remedy as all that is required is for you to rub a small amount of castor oil onto the area under your eye before bed. You then let it does its magic while you sleep. If you don’t have castor oil, almond oil or olive oil will also work just fine. Don’t forget to wash the remaining oil off in the morning before you venture out for the day.
Another very important thing that you can do to reduce circles under eyes is to use an eye cream or gel with the necessary natural ingredients that are effective and don’t cause side effects or damage. If you are going to use a cream or gel make sure that it does not contain any harsh chemicals, the skin around the eyes is very delicate.
A mixture of lemon and tomato juices applied to directly to the area is one way of removing dark circles under eyes. Simply mix a small amount of these two juices together and then lightly rub it into the skin under the eye. Leave it on for a few minutes, twice a day and then rinse it off. You can also utilize the natural benefits of these juices by preparing a cocktail of tomato juice with a little lemon juice and mint added in. Blend it altogether and drink this twice a day. You should notice a difference in the appearance of the bags.
