Moles are growth that can develop on many areas of the body. Some people have had moles all their lives and don't see to be bothered by them while other people are embarrassed and even feel discomfort depending on the location of the mole. The technical term for a mole is melanocyptic naevus and will appear at some point in time on the skin of many people men and women regardless of their race. There are many ways to get rid of moles, some of the ways involved invasive surgical procedures that can leave a scar.

Many methods are used today to remove moles. They vary from surgical procedures to home remedies that can provide some very good results. If you have moles and want to find out the best way to remove them, I am sure that you have seen or heard of various ways to get rid of them. Surgical removal of skin moles is recommended if your skin moles are irregular or malignant. Surgical mole removal methods include shaving the mole away or cutting it. In the shaving method, the mole is removed using a scraping or shaving method. The technique is best for shallow moles that will provide a cosmetic enhancement. In the cutting surgical mole removal method, and incision is made and skin mole is removed. Sutures are set in place to close the wound. The cutting method is ideal for deeper skin moles. Surgical mole removal methods carry a higher risk of scarring.

Many people interested in getting rid of skin moles look into surgical mole removal. There are generally three ways in which moles can be removed surgically. The most common is a "shaving" method. Moles are scraped or "shaved" off in one swift motion. This method works best if your skin moles are rather shallow. For moles that are deeper, a cutting surgical mole removal method may be used. An incision is made and the mole is removed from its depth. Sutures are then put in place to close the incision site. Finally, laser mole removal can also remove deeper skin moles. Scarring can occur in all three of the above methods, and there is a risk of infection.

Home remedies are one common treatment for removing moles. There are numerous home remedies as treatment for removing moles like applying apple cider vinegar on the affected area. Crushed garlic is also used on the affected area until the mole disappears.
