Sproutinghas been discovered to have many health benefits, and even helps to prevent and cure diseases, such as heart problems, diabetes, and depression just to name a few.

Sprouts can be purchased in some grocery stores, but if you truly want fresh and tasty sprouts then your best option is to sprout them yourself. Doing so is very economical, takes very little effort, and you can enjoy fresh sprouts in as little as 2-3 days.

When sprouting you should only use organic seeds, which can be purchased in most health food stores. If your health food store does not carry them, you can purchase them online.

You will also need a sprouting container. The Biosta Miracle Sprouter is great for sprouting in small quantities. It comes with three stackable trays which allows you to sprout up to three different sprouts at a time. It's a perfect sprouter for the beginner.

Or if you don't want to invest in a sprouter, a large-mouthed jar will do just as well, along with some cheese cloth to cover the mouth of the jar, and a rubber band to hold the cheese cloth in place.

Simply put your seeds into the jar, and soak according to the package. To drain simply tip the jar upside down. Leave the jar tilted in another container to allow all water to drain. Rinse the seeds according to the package; most seeds will require to be rinsed a couple times each day.

With the Biosta Miracle Sprouter you simply add water to the top tray and the water run down and into the lower tray, rinsing the seeds automatically and collects into a tray at the bottom which needs to be emptied within 15-30 minutes of watering.

Keep the seeds away from direct sunlight in the beginning stages. After the seeds have sprouted you can move them into the sun so they can increase in chlorophyl.

Sprouts are best when consumed fresh, but can also be stored in the fridge for several days.

So there you have it, all you need to know on how to sprout your own sprouts right in your own kitchen.
