People actually do marry the same person again after a divorce believe it or not. It's not impossible to get your wife or husband back after a divorce. Perhaps the most famous example of two people marrying twice will give you some inspiration.
The famous couple was Elizabeth Taylor and actor Richard Burton. How were they able to get back together again after going through a divorce? I'm not a marriage counselor but have watched as some of my friends got divorced and noticed some things in common. The relationships fail because neither partner wants to save it or just one of them wanted to and used techniques that seemed very reasonable but proved ineffective.
If ONE of you wants to stop the divorce you have a chance to do it
There's probably nothing that can be done to save the marriage if neither partner wants it saved, but if one of you does it can be saved. So where do people mess up with this approach?Maybe they try to hard. They plead and beg their partner that they will change their ways.
This is natural to want to do this and sounds reasonable. What you should actually be doing is trying to make yourself more attractive to your partner instead of trying to convince her you're weak by pleading and lying about changes that you'll make but that she knows you won't.
Be Strong
Don't plead. Don't argue. Don't become inconsistent by agreeing with their opinion because that's what you think they want to hear. Be strong, take charge and control of your life. Show him or her you can without them and they might just realize they're missing something by not being with you.
