In this article today I would like to discuss several tricks, tips, and tactics that almost everybody can use to reverse the signs of aging and grow young again much easier than you think.
There's a saying that says the only thing sure in life is death and taxes. Yes, I suppose we are all going to die eventually but we don't have to look like we've got one foot in the grave and in fact it doesn't matter how old you are, you can reverse the signs of aging in your body and give back that healthy younger looking you; and that's what I'm going to talk about in this article today.
Why do we grow older? More specifically, why do we look like we are growing older? What is it that makes our bodies age? Of course, as time goes on our bodies wear down but there are many things that can speed up this aging process and those things, luckily, are reversible.
Scientist today think that the aging process is sped up in our bodies by things called free radicals which sort of merge with other molecules in our body through a process called oxidation that sort of burns our bodies up quicker then necessary. We can fight this oxidation free radical process by consuming things called antioxidants.
Antioxidants are found primarily in fruits and vegetables and things of this nature, especially in foods high in vitamin C and vitamin E and also beta-carotene, flavonoids, and selenium. You can search online for many lists of foods that are high in these different things but basically it comes down to focusing your diet to eat mostly fruits and vegetables. I'm not suggesting you become a vegetarian but you should definitely cut down on your meat consumption because meat contains carcinogens that help promote free radicals.
Besides eating a well-balanced healthy diet made up of fruits and vegetables, the other thing you need to focus on is exercise which should come as no surprise to you. If you want to reverse the signs of aging and have a healthy youthful looking body, you have to exercise and it's never too late to start. You need to focus on two types of exercise, weight training and aerobic exercise.
As our bodies age we naturally lose muscle mass. If you want to look healthy and young you need to replace that lost muscle mass through weight training. You don't have to use heavy weights but you do have to use some weights. I suggest you create a weight training program three times a week.
On the days when you're not weight training, you should engage in some sort of aerobic exercise such as walking, or jogging, or swimming, or bike riding. It's important to pick an activity that you enjoy doing so that you will stick with it. Even just half an hour a day is enough to see noticeable improvements in your body nearly immediately.
So there you have several different tips and tricks that anybody can use to help grow young gracefully. We don't have to look old if we don't want to. Remember, it's never too late to change your life around and employ these tactics to regain you're young and healthy body well into old age.
