In this article today I'd like to discuss several simple tips, tricks, and techniques that just about anyone and everyone can use to help themselves look young and fantastic for most of their natural lives.
Why do some people look young and healthy even though they are getting on in age? Yes, the first thing that springs to mind is plastic surgery and expensive cosmetics but you'd be surprised how often this is not the case! And let's be realistic for a minute, plastic surgery makes you look younger but it also makes you look a little weird, doesn't it? I mean, you can always sort of tell can't you?
Isn't it much better to look young through natural means? Of course it is, and that's exactly what I'm going to talk about in this article today.
So how is it that some people seem to look younger without any effort at all? When you get right down to it, it's not much of a mystery. There are three main things that you have to focus on if you want to look young forever and you'll be surprised how simple they are.
The first thing involves diet. We age because of things in our bodies called free radicals that destroys cells and generally make us look old. Science seems to think at the moment that free radicals can be destroyed by antioxidants such as vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium, and carotenoids. Speak your doctor. to discover ways to incorporate these vitamins into your everyday diet or through supplement form.
Besides antioxidants, you should also focus on eating a healthy diet consisting primarily of fruits, vegetables, dietary fibers such as whole wheats and as a little meat as possible. I'm not saying you have to become a vegetarian but meat does seem to contain carcinogens that lead to poor health, so cut down.
The next two things in my three-step plan involve exercise.
The first form of exercise has to deal with muscles. As we grow older we lose muscle mass, that is, our muscles deteriorate slowly. Anything you can do to reverse this deterioration leads to a younger healthier body and because of that I recommend everybody create some sort of weightlifting regime. The older you get the harder it is to exercise with weights so I suggest a simple three day a week exercise program to focus on different muscles in your body.
The last step in my three-step plan involves aerobic exercise. Muscle building is not enough, we need to keep our bodies flexible and healthy and aerobic exercise fits the bill perfectly. You should exercise aerobically on the days that you are not exercising with weights. Aerobic exercise can include walking or jogging as well as riding an exercise bike or swimming, whatever you enjoy doing the most you should do for a half an hour to an hour every other day.
As silly as it may seem, these three simple things; diet, aerobic exercise, and weight lifting exercise are all you really need to maintain a young, youthful, healthy looking body well into old age and sometimes even till the day you die!
