I loathe my Muffin Top! For those of you lucky ones that have no idea what a muffin top is imagine when you cook a muffin. The top of the muffin spills out over the top of the paper surrounding. Now imagine when you put on a nice pair of jeans or pants and the surplus flesh hangs out overboard of the waist band. This embarrassing phenomenon is also known as your muffin top.

The phenomenon is taking over. You can't walk down the road without seeing a woman carrying a muffin top. I detested my muffin top. It had been a source of unceasing embarrassment. I attempted everything from wearing spanx to support underwear to hide it. Finally I made a decision enough was enough and decided to get rid of it once and for all.

One of the only paths to loose you muffin top once and for all and not gain it back is to make changes to your diet and way of life. Here are some easy changes that you can make in your normal diet and way of living that will help you to get rid off your muffin top :

1. Drink 8 cups of water a day.( This is maybe the most important tip on the list. ) If you totally hate water and find it difficult to drink at least eight glasses a day, then I regularly take a small glass of juice and water down it with water. This will give you flavored water with fewer calories.

2. Reduce salt intake. Start eating low sodium foods. Read labels and be aware of foods with high sodium such as potato chips.

3. Start Moving. Start by making little changes like walking to the store rather than driving, take the stairs instead of the elevator..etc. Then move onto bigger steps by including exercise into your daily routine. You need to try to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day. This is hitting the gym, doing an exercise video ( Pilates is great for your Core ) or playing a sport.

4. Watch what you Drink-Cut out all carbonated beverages including beer. Carbonated drinks can be one of the largest contributors to that not-so interesting muffin top.

5. Watch what you Eat- Eat more salads and plants but beware of concealed risks like high-sodium, fat rich dressings. They may undo all of the difficult work you do by adapting your diet.

6. Strength Train-Lifting weights is one of the speediest paths to build more muscle which will end in burning more fat. Attempt to strength train at least three times per week. You might also want to incorporate Ab exercises in your workout. Try and do 2-3 exercises that target your abs. This will firm up those trunk muscles that had lost their tone.

If you follow all these steps you should begin to get results inside a few weeks.
