Everyone are speaking and writing about relaxation so I decided to go for it as well. I believe that six years of conscious efforts to relax deeply and achieving this goal through many different methods will allow me to give you a handful of good advices on how to make your relaxation easier. To save your time I will just mention that if you never experienced any problems with relaxation you can skip next paragraph.

Whenever you read about various breathing methods, body positions, relaxation music and different brainwaves you may think how easy it is to relax and if that is so then probably you are right. Keep in mind that what is beautiful and effortless for us can be difficult for others. Some people have so-called "chattery minds" and when you mention to them something about relaxation they will tell you that they need to get extremely tired even to fall asleep and that you must be crazy if you want them simply to relax. In their case the simply word somehow doesn't fit in space next to relaxation and I am writing about it because this definitely was my case. Fortunately over time I discovered few things which helped me to get at level where in just few minutes I completely lose feeling of my body which is good sign that I am deeply relaxed.

The most basic thing is that you cannot relax when you speak to yourself, plan to conquer the world or create mental images. How your brain should switch off if you keep feeding it with new ideas and provoke to produce images that carry along emotional load? First of all slow down your thinking and even if you have a habit of planning what you will do tomorrow then change it. When you lay down in bed and need to plan something then simply go for it, but while you do keep your eyes open. Give yourself five or ten minutes and then close your eyes. Remembering about this practice creates a new habit which tells your mind that once you are in bed and your eye-lids are closed it is time for deep relax.

Some people see things and some people talk. In their imagination they keep hearing and responding or just speaking out their minds in front of their family, boss or partner. I am not surprised that they cannot relax because how you can fall in a sweet and comfortable state when you are bringing up things that just wake you up. When you are about to relax or go to sleep it is enough that for one minute you will repeat and think how relaxed your tongue is. This will stop inner chat and since your jaw has one of the strongest muscles once they are relaxed all the other will follow it easily.

The last tip in this article describes shortly the first technique that brought me at deeper level of relaxation. Lay down on your back with hands and legs uncrossed. Once you are comfortable, start tensing your muscles from fingers in your feet until your eyes and face muscles. Just tense your fingers, then feet, then first and second part of the legs and right after that continue with abdominal muscles, back muscles and all the rest. Remember to put enough effort in making your hands in hard fists. This whole process should take just ten to 15 seconds and once all of your muscles are nicely tensed keep it like that for few more seconds and just let go.

Another part of the body that can be troublesome to relax are muscles of your eyes. You think of something, your mind produce image of it and your eyes direct right to it. Of course to move they need to tense and change position so it's kind of opposite to what we want to achieve. In order to relax your eyes easily and let your conscious mind fall asleep it's enough that you look at back of your head or at least try to. Your eyes may resist on the beginning and you may feel even bigger tension, but after few moments they will nicely roll-back exactly as they do when you are in deep sleep.
