Nails can attract people if you keep them in shape. Girls have started growing nails in their fingers and also maintain its beauty. There are many things you should keep in mind while growing your finger nails. First you should clean your nails after taking bath.

It is very important to keep the nails without nail polish once in a while, so that it allows them to breathe. It is also advisable to keep a hand lotion or cream near the kitchen sink. It is also essential to wear gloves while doing household chores or gardening and rub cream on the hands, before putting on the gloves.

It is very important to remove old nail polish at least once a week. There are 2 main types of nail polish removers to choose from. Acetone removers take off the polish very quickly, but dry the cuticles. Non-acetone removers take longer to remove polish, but dry the nails and cuticles. If people have artificial nails, it is advisable to use only non-acetone removers. It is also very essential to file the nails in one direction only. The nails weaken if a person uses the file back and forth. It helps to soak the hands in soapy water to soften cuticles and clean the nails.

Many a times, people who go for acrylic nails face a number of problems when it comes to removing the nails, once they have served their purpose. It is very important to be aware of the correct way to remove the acrylic nails; otherwise there is a possibility that one may severely damage his real nails.

A very popular, cheap and effective way of removing the acrylic nails is to use acetone. One must buy pure acetone, which is easily available from any store that sells regular nail polish remover. The nails should then be clipped as far as possible. Now the elaborate method is as follows. Take some aluminum foil and cut it into squares. Now, wet the cotton balls with acetone, lay it on the nail and cover it as tightly as possible with the aluminum foil. Repeat the procedure for all 10 nails or do one hand at a time. Do not open the foil for at least 20 minutes. Once the time elapses, remove the foils one at a time and with a wood pusher or orange wood stick scrape the acrylic off. Ideally it should come right off, however the process can be repeated if there are some traces left. Another way of removing the nails using acetones is to soak the hands in warm water for some time. Then soak them in acetone and the acrylic nails will then become soft and easily remove.
