If you have passed your due date and you have still not gone through labor, then we know that you are in a great deal of pain. Just like you, we have been there before, waiting and not knowing how to induce labor at home. We know how miserable it feels. Would you like to bring about labor the natural way, without taking drugs? Many of those drugs comes with side effects that are not pretty, so you probably want to avoid them. Below, we are going to give you some ways that will answer your question of how to start labor .

Relaxation- Believe it or not, relaxation is one method you can do that will bring labor on the natural way. You see, when you are uptight, the baby will not want to come out. For some relaxation methods, try a nice bubble bath, a nice massage, reading a book or anything else that you find relaxing. Aromatherapy can also help you out.

Have sex- Yes, this one may not sound appropriate for bringing labor out, but it works! Besides, it is a fun method. When you have sex, there are certain hormones that are released in the body. Those hormones can cause labor. This is definitely the method that you should try out if you are in the mood for it.

Swinging- This can bring in labor as well. The motion of swinging will allow the baby to get into a better position. Try going out to the park and do some gentle swinging. Riding down bumpy roads can also do it.

Those three methods, relaxation, having sex and swinging can cause you to go into labor. These are great natural methods that will help you go into labor without having to take drugs. But there is a forth one that is more reliable than the other 3. That method is acupressure

Acupressurehas been used for over 5.000 years to treat various types of illness. In the past decades it has become increasingly more popular as a method for inducing labor and to give a natural pain relief. Acupressure involves applying pressure using your fingers and thumbs on specific points. You of course have to know where to apply the pressure. You can either read up on it or you can have your midwife or a masseuse help you out.

Personally I would recommend that you have your husband learn it (very easy) so that you can do this comfortably at home. That will also enable you to include relaxation and perhaps some sexual stimulation. This way you simply can't go wrong.
