Below are 7 simple ways on how to stop acne -

1. Avoid touching, rubbing or itching your face with your hands. Why? Your hands contain a lot of bacteria that can cause acne flare-ups. And if you have acnes, don't pick at them. If you do, stop! This is one that should be avoided.

2. Try cleansers that are soap free and wash your face twice a day. But steer clear of strong or harsh soaps/ cleansers. Strong soaps can dry your skin and strip off natural lipids. So use mild soap or cleansers.

3. One of the major cause that can stimulate acnes is the condition of your body. So consider cleansing your body with a detox diet. This is a good way to rid your body system of impurities that is a result of your normal diet. However the combination of proper diet and healthy food choice will always bring out a healthy skin.

4. Do you have any food allergies? Some foods can actually flare up those irritating acnes, so get a check up and see if you are allergic to any food types.

5. Before buying any acne treatment, know your skin type - Normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, sensitive skin. Buying the wrong kind of acne treatment can do more harm to your skin. Understanding your skin type is the best approach to your personal skin care.

6. Stay away from products that contain Benzoyl Peroxide, which is a strong chemical known to cause rashes, skin irritation and crusting.

7. When looking to treat your acne, find a product that offers the full package. That is, a treatment for the internal body system, cleansing of the face and protection of the skin. A complete package that looks after the internal and external aspect of the skin or body is the best measure to stop acne.
