Looking for ways on how to stop hair loss in women? According to statistics, there are about 30 million women who are suffering from thinning hair in the USA alone. It is estimated that there will be another 4 million women who will have thinning hair in the next 10 years.

Thinning hair in women can be caused by many reasons, these include stress, health problems, genetic predisposition, poor diet and medications. Sometimes, overly processing your hair can also cause hair to fall off. It is best to know what are the causes of thinning hair and deal with the source of the problem.

Here are some tips to stop thinning hair:

1) Try to avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Check the ingredients labelled on the packaging before buying any hair products. In addition, certain cosmetic preparations and chemicals have a negative effect on hair, try to avoid frequent usage.

2) To reduce the occurrence of thinning hair, you may use hair restorative hair conditioners and shampoos.

3) Too much usage of styling products will have adverse effects on your hair, try to use it in moderation.

4) If you don't want to emphasize your hair thinning, go for a bob cut.

5) Be aware of how you treat your hair, don't comb or brush it when it is wet as this is the most fragile moment for your hair.

6) Take more vitamin and calcium supplements. Ensure that your body is getting enough nutrition, so that need proteins are provided to the hair follicles through a healthy blood circulation.

7) If you smoke, quit smoking as it affects blood circulation and thus proper nutrition will not be able to deliver to your hair follicles.
