If you or one of your family members has hypertension, you must be vigilant when your ears would start ringing. Though tinnitus can happen to everybody, you should be wary when you get to hear the symptoms of ear ringing.High blood pressure ringing in earsis something that you should really be careful about, otherwise it can have very drastic results.

Tinnitus is a very common affliction. In fact, everyone has had at least one time in their lives that they had experienced the symptoms of tinnitus. Even toddlers and senior citizens can get to experience a ringing in their ears. Most of the time, the ringing in their ears goes away after a few minutes, but there are times that it goes on for much longer than that.

These kinds of tinnitus are more common, but there are still other types of tinnitus. One of the lesser known variants of tinnitus is pulsatile or objective tinnitus. It is also known to others as atherosclerosis. It is different from the other types of tinnitus because the sound that you would get to hear is a rhythmic pulsing sound.

Atherosclerosis is usually caused by an increase in the blood pressure. Hypertension victims are more prone to this type of tinnitus. The usual culprit for thishigh blood pressure ringing in earsis a blood vessel near the ear that is blocked. People who have a lot of cholesterol are the usual victims of this affliction.

When the patients have a lot of cholesterol in his or her bloodstream, it may form deposits inside their blood vessels. Depending on the degree of the blockage, it may be enough to make the circulatory system to pump blood much harder than usual. This produces greater pressure inside the blood vessels. If the cholesterol deposits are located near the ear, it creates turbulence to the correct flow of the blood. If the pressure is strong enough, it might be audible to the one suffering from it.

To the sufferer, this can be heard as a whooshing or pulsing sound. The sound is often in time with the heartbeat of the individual. If you start to hear a tinnitus that is quite akin to atherosclerosis, you should consult your doctor so that your condition would not get worse than it is now.

There are many factors that could aggravate pulsatile tinnitus. Unhealthy diets, stress, and lack of exercise are only a few of the factors that could worsen your pulsatile tinnitus.

If you have hypertension and you start to experience atherosclerosis, the best thing you should to get rid of the ringing is to change to a healthier diet. This minimizes the cholesterol in your body and it will also give your body healing nutrients. You should also have more exercise so that your circulatory system would be in better shape.

To preventhigh blood pressure ringing in ears, getting your blood pressure checked regularly is a must. When your blood pressure is under control, there is less risk that you will suffer from hypertension that could result to the ringing in your ears.
