Changing your diet and exercise habits can make a difference in the stress that you feel and how you deal with it. Cutting down on things like alcohol, caffeine and other mood altering substances can make a difference in how you react to situations of stress and how you deal with life in general. Stress literally gets stuck in the body. Stress hormones, muscular tension and tight shallow breathing stay stuck in the body after even a mildly stressful event. The damaging effects of stress stay stuck in your body unless you have way to clean them out. These are among the finest of anti stress techniques you are able to do for yourself. You're an overachiever. Of course, you want to do matters more beneficial than anybody else. If Bob traded 17 automobiles, then you do your finest to sell 20. If Cindy put in 25 hours of overtime this week, you try to break her record by pulling a 70-hour workweek next.

You rarely directly say "I'm sorry or I screwed up" because they both feel negative. You prefer to say things like, "it didn't work out like I thought or I guess we each understood something different."RESULTS: You will most likely never become good at setting goals and following up with them. You are better off playing off your assets- your ability to connect with others-and use that to move up and get projects done. Do you know what is unique about you? Do you celebrate it or do you cover it up? Since part of my job is image, I have thought for years that I must have a pulled together look. So I have always had a basic black trench coat that looks elegant. And then I became pregnant and nothing fit around my waist anymore.Get enough sleep. This may be hard for some but 7-8 hours of sleep can help a great deal. Try relaxing in a nice hot bubble bath and reading a good book. This helps stimulate sleep. Good bedding is also a must. I always prefer buying duvet covers instead of comforters. It is easier for me to take care of.

Something else you can try is slowing down your rate of breathing. Take a deep breath for 3 counts then breathe out for 6 counts. Do this 20 times and you should have slowed down your breathing quite a bit. This will also cause your heart rate to slow down and your whole body will have relaxed. I am also self-employed. There are many things I love about being self-employed, the fact that I am my own boss, I can choose my own hours, I have no-one to answer or to report to and the all round freedom it gives me. learning, in which you develop your curiosity about the job, how things are made and work, as well as trying out new skills to see if the job can't be done in a better way. The most notable research on meditation's usefulness in relieving stress was done in 1968 by Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard University.
