Most people are not aware of the fact that there are currently 450+ alternatives for animal
testing for various products.  These products range from anything to household cleaning products, beauty products, pharmaceutical products, etc...

Based on the advances made over the years regarding how these products are
tested and created, it only makes sense to utilize the more up to date way of
doing things.  Doesn't that make the most sense to YOU?

Many drugs approved as safe for animals have killed people.  At this point, no one can really justify animal testing for human safety.  If we are going to assume the role of "the superior beings" then we need to insist on better standards here.

The truth is, when you buy products tested on animals, you are contributing to
extreme suffering that you may or may not ever see.  Just because you don't see
it in front of your face, doesn't make it not so.

Animals are cut, burned, force fed, have products smeared on their eyes, have
their own unborn babies cut out of them, are intentionally given diseases they would otherwise
never be exposed to and other barbaric practices, all in the name of science.

When was the last time you knew of a rabbit that used tampons? Or, a rat that
used mascara? How many cats have you seen doing the laundry or cleaning windows?
Have you ever seen any monkeys with deadly viruses because they were sitting up in a
tree? Of course you haven't.

Having said all of this, it always pays to educate yourself as to where your
money is going and what actually goes into making the products that you
purchase. Ignorance is not bliss. It's just plain old ignorance.

Sitting back and pretending not to know things or being indifferent is why this
country is in the shape it's in today.  Specifically, how does being indifferent
help anyone?

These animals are counting on us to look out for them and be their voice.
It's not their fault they are subjected to the cruel practices of man.
Their only crime was simply being born. They deserve better.
As consumers and compassionate human beings, we deserve better.

Make it a point to know what goes on in the world.  If you see something you don't like, you have the right to open your mouth and say something.  There are animals in labs right this very second who are screaming out in pain, begging for you to make efforts on their behalf.  If you don't, who will?

On a personal note, purchasing cruelty-free products for both myself and my home have made such a positive difference in my life.  Not only am I making choices that benefit animals, but I'm actually getting a better quality of product than I was before.  It is a fact that when you raise your own standards, you can have a lot of influence on companies to raise their standards.  I believe that myself, my family, my companion animals, my own home and the animals of this world are worth it.

SPEND JUST TWO MINUTES TODAY PICTURING YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY IN A CAGE, IN PAIN, WITH NO ONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING IN COMPLETE CHARGE OF YOUR FATE.

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
