To best describe the symptoms of tinnitus is as a buzzing, ringing of ears, beeping, roaring, whistling or swooshing that occurs in the ears. Others they may experience chirping, beating sounds like the heart, humming or clanging. These problems within your ears can happen to anyone but they do not suffer the same; symptoms change from person to person. People suffer on different levels also. Pitch is usually different too; some may only hear a low tone while some have drastic noises running through their head.Humming In The Ears These excessive sounds that we hear can affect our daily routines. This can be a problem if you need to be able to concentrate at work. For younger sufferers, they may start to slip in their school work from not being able to do anything else but hear this annoyance. The ear that you hear this in can also differ; it may only be one ear or the other or both. Hearing problems may arise for those who are hearing these sounds on a louder than normal level. There are a few types of tinnitus which someone can suffer from. The main one is damage from noise to the ear canal itself or damage done to the whole hearing senses and the brain. As to the more common form of tinnitus, it can be damage done by loud sounds. When you damage your ear canal it can do much harm to the hair cells in the canal. In the event that these fine hairs break off, you will have permanent hearing problems and the sounds will continue to annoy you. Excessive sounds can make these fine hairs bend and what is even more severe, break. In a lot of cases, tinnitus is just a temporary situation and you will return to normal within a few days at the most. Sometimes however, the damage can be so dramatic that it can extend to as far as the brain from the ear canal. /?030710" Humming In The Ears The next form of tinnitus is very rare but it does happen in 1 out of 5 people. It is known as objective tinnitus or pulsatile tinnitus. This type is generally found in those that suffer with hypertension, glomus tumors, abnormal veins or arteries and heart murmurs. It is not common but the factors that cause this form can be very dangerous. This sound can be very upsetting; you can hear pulsing or what sounds like blood pushing through the arteries. Atherosclerosis can be heard with a stethoscope if a doctor puts it on the back of your ear or neck. There is no cure for tinnitus of any type. The only thing that we can do is to adapt to it in our lives and deal with this painful condition. It can be enough to drive you nuts, but you have to come up with your own ways to mask the sounds.
