Just because your doctor has said you'll have to "live with" the T for the rest of your life...
No way! Do these ENT people even know what they're talking about? Living with that constant, unrelenting and LOUD, LOUD, LOUD ringing!I Have Buzzing In My Ears
Do they even realize that sometimes you can barely hear them over the high-pitch buzzing in the ears! Do they even care that hundreds of Tinnitus sufferers kill themselves because they just can't "live with" it...
If you are like me, I'm sure you have thought about knocking yourself out to get sleep at night...
Believe me, I know how you feel about that as I have felt the same way. Even the tiniest muffled sound could keep me awake at night. But what I have found, for one thing, that smashing your head against a solid wall is not the way forwards. I scoured the Internet, looking for as much info as I could take in without my brain exploding. /?020710" I Have Buzzing In My Ears
I completely cut out caffeine, alcohol and dairy from my diet. (at this point I couldn't care less about what was in my diet, so long as it was meant to do something to stop the ringing!) I've tried maskers, herbs and even drugs; pretty much everything I could find that was supposed to help with the T.
After months and months of not curing the T, I almost ended up going under the knife. That's how desperate I was, and I know you might well be considering that option right now.
Let me tell you, don't!
Not only do most people who go through surgery end up with Tinnitus again after a month of two anyway, theres a chance your hearing will be permanently damaged as well! So really, when your doctor says that the surgery has a high success rate, what they really mean is...
Yep, you guessed it. They mean that the ringing is gone immediately after the surgery. Notice how they don't tell you what happens, a few months afterward. Now, I'm not saying that your particular doctor is out to make life worse for you, maybe they don't even know that actually, the surgery doesn't usually work.
Just don't absolutely trust anything they say you have to do. Like having to live with Tinnitus.
I know for a fact you don't. /?020710" I Have Buzzing In My Ears
