"I wish I couldget my ex-husband back".  Have you found yourself uttering these words.  Words that you never thought you would say?  If you want your husband back and want to do it right, there are steps you can take.  Don't follow the advice of friends and family.  They may not even want you back togethere anyway.

There are some things you need to do to start the process:

If you have been calling him constantly, whether to beg him to see you or for little, unimportant reasons, stop.  Do not call him or text him at all. Do not leave desperate voicemails for him.  Make him wonder why you are suddenly not interested in getting back together.

Take back control.  If you are constantly making up reasons to see or call your ex-husband, he will feel like he is in control and can do what he wants now and have you whenever he wants you. Get this thought out of his head!

Spend some time focusing on yourself.  Do not worry about what your ex-husband is doing.  Resist the urge to focus on him.  This is your time.  Stay busy. Learn to cook something new.  Find a new hobby.  Change your look or lose some weight.  Remember, your ex-husband thinks he knows everything about you.  It will come in handy later, when you do have contact with him, to be interested in something new.  He will find you more interesting.

When you stop calling your ex and even avoid his phone calls, he will wonder what is going on.  You will actually be giving him the chance to miss you.

After a month or two (preferably at least 6 weeks), you can answer a call.  Be brief.  Don't fall into your old habits of being flirtatious or desperate.  Play a little bit hard to get.

One answer to the question, "how can I get my ex-husband back" is to get yourself back.  Be good to yourself.  Take time to figure out what you want. Who knows, with a little space you may figure out that you deserve better.
